Notice of Privacy Policy Amendment

Posted on: July 26, 2026  |  Effective from: August 25, 2026

This amendment takes effect on the effective date, after a 30-day advance notice period from the posting date.

Reason for the amendment

We collect anonymous usage statistics to identify where errors and drop-offs occur so that we can improve the app. There is no change to pricing or to the terms of service. In addition, we will also collect crash diagnostics (Firebase Crashlytics) to improve app stability.

Before and after comparison

CategoryBeforeAfter
Data collectedNot applicableAnonymous usage statistics — app instance ID, app and OS version, device model, language and country, screen views, feature usage events, session information
RecipientNot applicableGoogle Firebase Analytics (Google LLC)
Retention periodNot applicablePer Google Analytics data retention policy (14 months)

What is not collected

The text you transcribe, your nickname, and your email address are not included in the statistics. Transcription statistics record only information that cannot identify content, such as the Bible version, the book name, and whether a chapter was completed. Group statistics record only member-count ranges instead of group identifiers.

If you do not agree to this amendment

If you do not want this collection, you may delete your account in the app or uninstall the app before the effective date. Reinstalling assigns a new anonymous identifier that is not linked to previous records.
